Role Summary:
CHINA HARBOUR (SINGAPORE) ENGINEERING COMPANY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Logistics Supervisor/Senior Logistics Supervisor for our General Building / Civil Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of site logistics, warehouse management, stock control, and resource coordination to ensure the efficient and timely supply of materials and equipment for project operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily site logistics operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems to track stock levels, prevent losses, and ensure optimal material availability.
- Develop and execute flexible material and resource scheduling plans to meet project timelines and site demands.
- Establish strong coordination and liaison with sub-contractors to ensure timely material distribution and support their operational needs.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, including coordinating deliveries, verifying material specifications, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and security within the logistics and warehouse areas in compliance with WSH standards.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Prepare and maintain accurate logistics reports, stock records, and material requisition documents.
- Identify and resolve logistics-related issues efficiently to minimize project delays.
- Supervise logistics team members, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum N-Level or O-Level education. Practical experience and proven track record are highly valued over academic qualifications.
- MUST HAVE prior working experience with Main Contractors or Subcontractors in the Singapore construction industry.
- Proven experience in site logistics, warehouse management, and inventory control for construction projects.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under stress in a dynamic site environment.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills, especially in liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken) for documentation and communication.
- Ability to communicate with workers of diverse language backgrounds will be an advantage.
- Possess a valid Class 3 Singapore Driving License is mandatory.
- Familiarity with common construction materials, equipment, and logistics software/systems is a plus.
