About the role

Landscape Engineering Pte Ltd, a leading construction firm in the West Region, is seeking an experienced Work Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to join our team. As a WSHO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees on construction sites. This full-time position is based in the West Region and will involve overseeing the implementation of safety protocols and practices to create a safe and productive work environment.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites to identify and mitigate potential hazards

2. Developing and implementing comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a strong safety culture

3. Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence

4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices

5. Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and workers to address safety concerns and promote safe work practices

6. Maintaining detailed records and reporting on safety performance metrics

7. Providing safety training and guidance to employees at all levels of the organisation

What we're looking for

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Work Safety and Health Officer in the construction industry

2. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, as well as industry best practices

3. Proven ability to develop and implement effective safety programs and training initiatives

4. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

5. Proficiency in conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments

6. A relevant degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field

7. A passion for promoting a safe and healthy work environment
