Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of marine navigation and communication equipment.

• Support work on maritime navigation systems such as: Marine Radar, Gyro Compass, Magnetic Compass, Autopilot, Echo Sounder, Speed Log, Steering (FFU/NFU), Weather Fax, Wind Speed/Direction instruments.

• Support work on marine communication systems including: GMDSS, VHF/UHF, MF/HF SSB, NBDP, NDB, Navtex, Inmarsat, FBB, Local Area Networks, and email systems.

• Help conduct radio surveys of GMDSS equipment.

• Assist with off-landed repair of faulty equipment in the workshop.

• Prepare simple service reports after completing tasks.

Requirements:

• Formal education in Electrical or Electronic equipment.

• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge of marine navigation and communication systems.

• Good communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.

• Positive attitude, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.

• Able to work well in a team.

• Self-motivated with an analytical mindset.
