Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and driven Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings, management reports, and group consolidation in a timely and accurate manner. You will ensure compliance with statutory and tax regulations, liaise with auditors and external parties, and uphold accounting standards in line with SFRS and company policies.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in driving efficiency through process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and automation projects. Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently are essential to succeed in this role.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities for entity-level accounts and group consolidation in a timely manner.
Prepare management reports, financial statements, and provide financial analysis with relevant commentaries.
Handle statutory filing, business statistics, and other types of filing in compliance with local ACRA, tax and legal legislation.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, secretaries, and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure compliance with SFRS and company accounting policies.
Assist in projects to drive efficiency through cost-saving initiatives, including process automation and enhancing documentation.
Understand and implement internal control, business flow, and financial procedures.
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
Degree holder in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification with relevant work experience.
Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Xero), proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI or similar tools is an advantage.
Detail-oriented, meticulous, and able to work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Responsible, committed, and a good team player with a positive attitude.
Prior experience in audit and the retail or FMCG industry will be an advantage.
