Key Responsibilities:
Demand Planning
Support the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process by consolidating demand inputs from regional sales and marketing teams.
Use historical data, market insights, and promotional plans to prepare accurate bottom-up demand forecasts.
Analyse demand patterns, identify key variances, and highlight potential risks or opportunities to management.
Assist in maintaining statistical forecast models and ensure forecast accuracy and bias metrics are tracked.
Work closely with Sales Managers and Supply Planners to align forecasts with overall business objectives.
Supply Planning
Plan and monitor stock replenishment to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
Review supplier lead times and shipment schedules to determine optimal order quantities and timing.
Coordinate with Operations and Regional Offices on stock allocation and distribution planning.
Support supply allocation decisions during constrained situations through timely communication with Sales and Operations teams.
Participate in regular S&OP and inventory review meetings to ensure supply plans align with demand forecasts.
Shipping & Logistics Coordination
Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and warehouse teams to ensure timely shipment and smooth inbound logistics.
Manage shipping documentation (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, L/C negotiation, etc.).
Monitor shipment status, track deliveries, and proactively resolve shipment or customs issues.
Verify and submit shipping documents to Finance for payment in a timely manner.
Negotiate rates and contracts with freight carriers to achieve cost-effective shipping solutions.
Systems, Processes & Performance
Maintain accurate data in ERP systems and ensure information integrity across supply and demand modules.
Track and analyse key metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory health, and freight expenses.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting, inventory management, and logistics efficiency.
Contribute to process documentation and standard operating procedure (SOP) reviews.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
3–5 years of relevant experience in demand and supply planning or shipping coordination, preferably within a trading or distribution environment.
Familiar with Incoterms and Letters of Credit (L/C) procedures.
Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NAV) and Excel-based analysis.
