Our client is seeking a Sales Engineer & Aftermarket to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical engineering expertise with sales acumen in the dynamic oil and gas industry. You'll work with sophisticated instrumentation and valve products while building strong customer relationships and driving business growth through both new sales and aftermarket services.


What you'll be doing?

  • Technical sales and consultation: Utilize your comprehensive knowledge of engineering, instrumentation, valves, and pump products to provide expert technical consultation and solutions to customers.

  • Specialized product expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of PSV (Pressure Safety Valves), regulators, control valves, and manual valves to deliver tailored solutions for complex industrial applications.

  • Sales and aftermarket development: Leverage your sales and aftermarket experience along with end-user contacts to identify and develop new business opportunities across various industrial sectors.

  • Proposal development: Prepare and submit comprehensive proposals for sales and aftermarket business opportunities based on thorough market data analysis, cost evaluations, and business unit guidance.

  • Customer relationship management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer-focused service delivery.

  • Quotation management: Prepare detailed quotations using NAV system and conduct systematic follow-up with customers to ensure timely responses and successful conversions.

  • Field engagement and site visits: Conduct customer visits and site inspections to enhance application knowledge and develop deeper technical understanding of customer requirements.

  • Sales performance achievement: Demonstrate proven track record in sales by consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

  • Technical solution development: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop customized solutions that meet specific customer requirements and industry standards.

  • Market intelligence gathering: Collect and analyze market information to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape insights.

  • Customer support: Provide ongoing technical support and aftermarket services to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams including engineering, operations, and customer service to deliver comprehensive solutions.


Who are they looking for?

  • Educational background: Minimum Diploma or higher qualification to provide solid technical foundation for engineering sales role.

  • Industry experience: At least 3 years of working experience in Oil and Gas industry to understand sector-specific requirements and challenges.

  • Customer network: Established customer contacts within Singapore end-user market being highly advantageous for immediate business development.

  • Transportation capability: Own car with Class 3 driving license being preferred for customer visits and site inspections.

  • Product expertise: Experience with instruments, valves, and pump products with familiarity in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Pharmaceutical industries being advantageous.

  • Technical competency: Computer literacy with strong MS Office skills for professional documentation and presentation preparation.

  • Professional attributes: Strong teamwork abilities with positive attitude and collaborative approach to achieving business objectives.

  • Sales acumen: Proven sales track record with ability to identify opportunities, develop relationships, and close deals effectively.

  • Communication excellence: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with customer-focused mindset for building long-term business relationships.

  • Technical problem-solving: Analytical thinking to understand complex customer requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.

  • Professional mobility: Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site visits, and business development activities.
