Medical Laboratory Technologist, Microbiology - #1124028

You will be trained to work in a clinical laboratory, helping to provide results which contribute directly to the diagnosis of infections and the treatment of patients. Work in the laboratory department is fast paced with high throughput. You can expect to acquire in-depth knowledge in diagnostic microbiology and future potential to develop career specialisation.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive arriving specimens for microbiological analysis

• Conduct bacterial culture and molecular investigations 

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment

• Perform quality control checks on test kits and reagents

• Assist in inventory control of laboratory paraphernalia

• Participate actively in laboratory housekeeping duties

• Abide by stringent safety protocols

Key Requirements

• Degree in Microbiology, Life Sciences or Biomedical Sciences

• Team player with good interpersonal skills

• Comprehensive training will be provided
