Inventory Management Specialist (Food Industry)
Up till to $4,500 basic + 1 month AWS + Variable bonus
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.45pm and Alternate Saturday work, 8.30am to 12.30pm.
Handling 4000 SKU
Candidate must be from Food Industry, Manufacturing Industry or Logistics Industry that handle foods.
Job Summary:
The Inventory Management Specialist reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is assisting to overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory levels across all warehouse locations. This role ensures optimal stock availability to support production and sales operations, minimizes excess or obsolete inventory, and upholds compliance with internal controls and reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor, track, and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability across all warehouses (internal / external 3rd party).
Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation between physical and system records.
Analyze inventory variances and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve discrepancies.
Follow the inventory control procedures to optimize stock turnover and minimize wastage or stockouts.
Facilitate and ensure timely daily stock transfers from the external warehouse to the internal warehouse to meet daily operational requirements.
Support demand planning and forecasting by providing accurate and timely inventory data.
Collaborate with purchasing, production, warehouse, and sales teams to maintain an efficient flow of goods.
Maintain item master data and ensure system integrity (e.g., product codes, descriptions, UOM).
Prepare inventory-related reports (e.g., aging, usage trends, stock valuation, inventory accuracy rates) for management review.
Continuously evaluate inventory management processes, to identify and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Participate in projects aimed at streamlining inventory management operations and integrating new technologies or systems.
Support annual and ad-hoc stocktake exercises, including coordination, verification, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and safety standards.
Any other ad-hoc assigned duties
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain.
Proficient in ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
