About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sumitomo Bakelite Singapore Pte Ltd. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. This is a full-time, permanent role that plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes.

What you'll be doing

• Performing routine maintenance and inspections on various manufacturing equipment, including troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns

• Conducting preventive maintenance activities to maximise the lifespan and performance of equipment

• Collaborating with the production team to address any operational issues and minimise downtime

• Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance

• Provide engineering support to the Production department.

• Assisting with the installation of new equipment and machinery as required.

• Involve in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities

What we're looking for

• At least 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting

• Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve equipment issues

• Good working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems

• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics and blueprints

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
