About the Role
As a Nurse Manager / Clinician (Operating Theatre), you will play a key role in establishing and overseeing the hospital’s Operating Theatre services. You’ll lead a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care, drive clinical excellence, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. This role also involves planning and implementing nursing operations as part of the hospital’s start-up phase.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Operating Theatre nursing team.
Recruit, train and mentor nursing staff to uphold clinical and professional standards.
Set clear performance objectives and guide staff development through coaching and evaluation.
Clinical Governance & Quality
Develop and implement evidence-based nursing protocols and standards of care.
Monitor clinical outcomes and patient safety indicators; initiate quality improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with MOH and accreditation requirements (JCI or equivalent).
Operational & Resource Management
Plan staffing models, workflows and budgets for efficient OT operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supply chain to ensure adequate resources and equipment.
Participate in the planning of new facility layouts and nursing infrastructure.
Education & Development
Lead orientation, training and continuing education for nursing staff.
Promote a culture of learning, teamwork and innovation.
Hospital Setup & Commissioning
Drive the setup and operationalization of nursing services for the new hospital.
Collaborate with planners and design teams to ensure functional and patient-centred clinical spaces.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution (approved by the Singapore Nursing Board)
Post-basic qualification in Operating Theatre nursing is essential
Registered Nurse with SNB, with at least 10 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role
Prior experience in nursing management or administration, preferably in a start-up or expansion environment
Strong leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills
In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality assurance, and accreditation standards
