Our client, a well-known company is looking for candidates for the position of Specialist (Trade Operation).

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Ensure compliance with trade regulations and customs procedures.

• Coordinate with third-party documentation vendors, including freight forwarders and insurance companies, to optimize logistics.

• Monitor vendor performance and address any issues to maintain timely documentation delivery.

• Analyze trade data to uncover trends and opportunities for cost savings.

• Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams (logistics, finance, legal) and documentation vendors to facilitate clear communication.

• Take ownership of Trade Systems, ensuring they function optimally and align with organizational objectives.

• Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to meet system requirements and effectively implement enhancements.

• Establish governance protocols for systems, focusing on user access, data integrity, compliance, and process changes.

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to trade operations.
  

REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• 2-5 years of experience in international trade, import/export operations, or trade compliance is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of customs regulations, Incoterms, HS codes, and related documentation.

• Familiarity with trade finance instruments (e.g., Letters of Credit, Bills of Lading).

• Experience in digitalization and automation of trade documentation processes.

• This role is a contract position for a minimum of one year with the potential for transition to a permanent full-time role upon successful completion.
