Facilities Technician - #1122163

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily inspections and assessments of facilities, including equipment rooms, building systems, and overall premises condition.

• Perform regular and ad-hoc preventive maintenance on essential equipment and infrastructure (ACMV, doors/windows, lighting, etc.).

• Respond to reactive maintenance calls; troubleshoot faults and carry out repairs on building fabric, fixtures, furniture, fittings, and systems.

• Manage and coordinate vendor/contractor work: escort contractors, supervise third-party maintenance, and ensure compliance with site standards and safety procedures.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, asset conditions, spare parts/tools inventories, and work orders.

• Ensure building systems and workplace are clean, safe, and well-presented, including minor aesthetic works (touch-ups, furniture moves, door/lock maintenance).

• Monitor safety and compliance: conduct joint EHS/HSW inspections, correct anomalies, and ensure adherence to regulatory and client requirements.

Requirements:

• Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, or Building Services Engineering (e.g., NITEC, vocational/trade certification), or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in facilities maintenance, building services, or a similar environment (more for complex sites).

• Ability to inspect, diagnose, and resolve facility faults and carry out repair works efficiently with minimal supervision.

• Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.

• Good understanding of health, safety, and workplace regulations; ability to identify and rectify hazards.
