About the Role

Our client are looking for dynamic and hands-on professionals to join our Engineering team as Assistant Manager Mechanical . This role involves end-to-end project coordination, design supervision, and execution of mechanical works in new building projects. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically strong, and experienced in site operations and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions and coordinate site issues with clients and contractors.

• Apply engineering expertise in mechanical design and demonstrate understanding of building codes and practices.

• Ensure quality of materials and installations by suppliers and subcontractors in accordance with ISO standards.

• Monitor and control the delivery and quality of materials, equipment, and installations.

• Prepare and coordinate shop drawings and layout plans.

• Develop and manage project schedules; attend internal and client meetings.

• Assist in daily operational planning with focus on quality, safety, and timeline.

• Coordinate closely with main contractors to prevent rework or delays.

• Manage site material usage to minimize wastage and control costs.

• Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors to prevent delivery delays.

• Identify and resolve non-conformance issues to maintain work quality.

• Explore new technologies and installation methods to enhance productivity.

• Monitor site progress closely and maintain clear communication with project teams.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the M&E contracting industry.

• Familiar with ISO 9000 and OHSAS 18000 standards.

• Trained ISO Internal Quality Auditor is an advantage.

• Completed Building Construction Safety Supervisor Course (BCSS).
