About the role

Meridian Global Advisory Pte Ltd, a leading global financial advisory firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Compliance to join their team in the Central Region. As the Head of Compliance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm's adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, while also contributing to the development and implementation of robust compliance policies and procedures.

What you'll be doing

1. Overseeing the firm's compliance program and ensuring the timely identification, assessment, and mitigation of compliance risks

2. Providing guidance and training to all employees on compliance-related matters

3. Liaising with regulatory authorities and external auditors to ensure the firm's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

4. Developing and implementing effective compliance monitoring and reporting systems

5. Advising the management team on compliance-related issues and their potential impact on the firm's operations

6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of compliance considerations into the firm's strategic initiatives

7. Staying up-to-date with changes in the regulatory landscape and implementing necessary adjustments to the firm's compliance framework

What we're looking for

1. Extensive experience (8+ years) in a compliance leadership role within the banking or financial services industry

2. In-depth understanding of compliance regulations, including AML/CFT, KYC, and data privacy requirements

3. Proven track record of designing and implementing effective compliance programs and monitoring systems

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks

6. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor a team of compliance professionals

7. Relevant professional qualifications, such as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification, are highly desirable
