Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Manage full sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports.
Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records (both digital and hardcopy).
Assist in software upgrades or data migration when necessary.
2. Taxation & Compliance
Prepare and file corporate tax returns (Singapore Form C-S/C and Malaysia Form C).
Manage GST (Singapore) and SST (Malaysia) filings and ensure timely submission.
Liaise with tax agents and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN).
Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
Handle statutory submissions for Malaysia, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB (LHDN).
Support in tax queries, audits, and ensure proper documentation for all tax-related matters.
3. Banking & Audit Coordination
Handle daily banking matters and liaise with banks on transactions and documentation.
Support external auditors during annual audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
Coordinate with the Corporate Secretary on statutory filings when required.
4. Administrative Support
Process staff expense claims and petty cash reimbursements.
Support finance-related administrative tasks, including courier of documents, cheque preparation, and payment approvals.
Other Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in full sets of accounts, preferably with both Singapore and Malaysia exposure.
Good understanding of corporate tax, GST, SST, and statutory compliance.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, Synergix, Million) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Independent, reliable, and able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
