Job Responsibilities

  • Manage digital content ingest, playlist creation, and scheduling via cinema servers (DCP, TMS/LMS).

  • Ensure accurate programming and timely playback of films, trailers, and ads.

  • Coordinate delivery, availability, and dispatch of digital film packages (DCPs, KDMs).

  • Operate and monitor digital projection and AV systems for screenings.

  • Perform regular equipment checks, basic maintenance, and coordinate repairs.

  • Troubleshoot projection, sound, and automation system issues promptly.

  • Set up and operate AV systems for live, VR, and hybrid events.

  • Manage signal routing and live video/audio feeds during events.

  • Support and operate VR systems, including headsets and sensors.

  • Collaborate with lighting/audio teams for AVL configuration and rehearsals.

  • Ensure technical maintenance, safety checks, and proper calibration of cinema equipment.

  • Maintain technical documentation, safety protocols, and inventory records.

  • Supervise technical/projection staff and handle roster planning and training.

  • Address staff conduct issues and ensure team discipline.

  • Liaise with internal teams and senior management on technical operations and support event coordination.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Film Technology, Electronics, AV Engineering, IT, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cinema projection operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

  • Strong technical knowledge of projection systems and equipment.

  • Experience in operating and maintaining cinema projection equipment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Familiarity with digital and film projection formats.

  • Leadership and staff supervision skills.

  • Ability to manage schedules, rosters, and maintenance plans.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Understanding of workplace discipline and emergency protocols

  • Flexibility to work shift hours, weekends, public holidays, and late nights as per screening/event schedules.

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects to handle equipment and technical setups when required.

  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of audience experience and technical performance.
