Job Title: Regional Director
Location: Singapore
Reports to: General Manager (GM)
Core Responsibilities
Develop and execute the overall business development strategy, sales targets, and budgets for the Singapore, Malaysia, and broader Southeast Asian markets.
Conduct in-depth analysis of market dynamics, the competitive landscape, and consumer trends to provide a basis for decision-making on product positioning, channel strategy, and marketing.
Distributor (Trade Business - TB) Business: Identify, onboard, and manage high-quality regional distributors and wholesalers. Build a broad and well-structured distribution system and support them in achieving their sales targets.
Retail (Trade Customer - TC) Business: Lead the business development for high-end physical retail stores, including but not limited to premium mall counters, brand experience stores, chain pharmacies, and health food specialty stores. Establish and manage direct or cooperative retail networks.
Develop Traditional Channels: Leverage your industry resources and BD expertise to rapidly penetrate and cultivate traditional channels such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) halls, premium gift channels, and private domain/loyalty networks.
Proactively explore and establish partnerships with modern channels, such as large-scale supermarket chains, cross-border e-commerce platforms, high-end gyms, private clinics, corporate wellness programs, and other new retail models.
Build, train, and develop a high-performing regional sales and marketing team. Set clear KPIs and motivate the team to achieve its goals.
Foster a proactive and driven team culture to enhance the team’s overall professional capabilities and effectiveness.
Personally responsible for establishing and maintaining long-term, solid partnerships with the region’s most important strategic clients, channel partners, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
Requirements
A minimum of 8 years of experience in the health supplements, premium tonics, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), or broader health and wellness industry, with at least 3 years in a comprehensive regional management role.
Must have top-tier Business Development (BD) skills: A proven track record of successfully building new markets and channels from the ground up.
Must have demonstrable experience in developing and managing both traditional channels (e.g., pharmacies, health supplement stores) and modern channels (e.g., chain supermarkets, new retail).
A deep understanding of raw herbs and dietary supplement products, including their market characteristics and consumer profiles.
Possession of an extensive local network of retail contacts and distributors is highly preferred.
An entrepreneurial mindset, results-oriented, and able to work well under pressure.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
