ABOUT THE JOB
We aim to support working parents by providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for pre-teens through our Student Care Programme. The role also focuses on offering additional support to children from single-parent families and fostering meaningful connections between families and Corps members for continued care and community engagement.
As the Centre Supervisor, you will oversee the overall operations and programme delivery of the Centre, ensuring high-quality service standards while building strong partnerships between the Centre, families, and Corps members.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and develop the Student Care Programme for Primary 1-6 children, including curriculum planning, teacher supervision, and parent engagement.
Oversee daily centre operations, administration, budgeting, staffing, and safety compliance.
Ensure adherence to MSF Student Care requirements, reporting, and audits.
Manage and support teachers, recruit part-time staff during school holidays, and uphold organisational standards.
Foster children's learning, social skills, and values-based development through engaging activities.
Build strong relationships with families and collaborate with Corps members for family support.
Plan weekly and holiday programmes to enrich children's experiences.
Partner with external agencies and recruit volunteers to enhance programme quality.
Support Corps Officers with any reasonable requests related to centre operations.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related fields.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in student care, childcare, education, or youth development, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Familiarity with MSF Student Care Centre regulations and operational standards preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Passionate about working with children and families, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
Good organisational and problem-solving skills; able to manage both programme and administrative responsibilities.
Proficient in MS Office and administrative systems.
Possess current First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain).
Other Information
DUTY HOURS
The total work hours is 44 hours per week.
Under normal circumstances the hours of duty will be as follows:
10.00am to 7.00pm - Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch break)
It will be at the discretion of your Centre/Department in charge or his/her assigned representatives to determine whether you will be required to work any of the unutilised hours according to the operational needs of the Centre/Department and within the legitimacy of the employment laws where applicable.
