Job Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven General Manager (GM) to lead our Singapore operations. Reporting to the COO, the GM will oversee the full spectrum of the business — from commercial growth and brand development to operations, people leadership, and financial management.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving sustainable growth, strengthening our market leadership, and ensuring operational excellence across Singapore. The GM will act as a key bridge between the corporate office and the local team, ensuring that Suzuki’s global vision is executed effectively in the Singapore market.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth
Define and execute a comprehensive business strategy for Singapore, aligned with the Group’s overall objectives.
Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and channels to expand market share.
Serve as a brand ambassador, enhancing Suzuki’s presence and reputation in the local and regional coffee industry.
Commercial Excellence (Sales & Marketing)
Lead sales and marketing teams to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets.
Develop and implement effective pricing, promotional, and distribution strategies.
Monitor consumer trends and competitor activities, adapting strategies to stay ahead of the market.
Work closely with corporate and commercial teams to grow distributed brands in partnership with international suppliers.
Operations Management
Oversee daily operations across roasting, supply chain, distribution, after-sales, and quality control.
Drive efficiency in production, inventory, and logistics, ensuring cost control and high service standards.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards across all operational areas.
People & Culture
Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide mentorship, training, and career development for team members.
Establish a strong performance culture with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes.
Financial & Governance
Own the P&L for the Singapore business, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
Monitor key financial metrics, implement corrective actions, and ensure profitability.
Ensure strong governance and compliance with corporate policies.
Key Requirements
Your strategic thinking, leadership skills, and deep understanding of the market will be crucial in achieving our ambitious growth targets and therefore, you are required to have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
8–10+ years of senior leadership experience within the coffee, F&B, FMCG, or related industries, with proven P&L responsibility.
Deep understanding of the coffee industry in Singapore, including consumer trends, market dynamics, and competitor landscape.
Demonstrated success in scaling business growth, leading transformation, or entering new market segments.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in business development, sales strategy, and operations management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Financial literacy, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Passion for coffee and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
