As a Senior Marine Underwriter, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• To analyze risks and its exposures for assessment of risk quality and insurance coverage including pricing of risks and the other related requirements

• To identify and develop new source of business

• To take on other assigned roles and responsibilities relevant to reinsurance business

• To do research on the trends of reinsurance markets and participate in developing business strategies

• To ensure proper administration of business transacted including follow-up actions for endorsement, registration in IT system and reporting.

• To provide advice on claims matters

• To co-operate with other teams in the pursuit of company targets

• Be able to carry out desk-top evaluation of a risk and where necessary seek relevant information clarification from the cedant/broker

• Be able to cost the exposure and set other terms and conditions so as to ensure long-term profitability

• Be able to evaluate and steer portfolio in order to enhance results and to fit company’s risk appetite.

Requirements:

• Possess a relevant degree and over 5 years of underwriting experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry, with regional responsibilities and strong market knowledge.
