Assistant Manager, Technical (HVAC) - #1120979

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual and detailed design of cleanroom environments, including HVAC systems, filtration, pressurization, airflow design, and contamination control strategies.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, architectural, and process engineers to ensure design integration and technical alignment.

• Review and approve design specifications, equipment selections, and technical submissions.

• Assess and manage technical risks to ensure constructability and efficiency in design decisions for cleanroom systems.

• Develop and manage commissioning plans, protocols, and schedules to support timely system startup and qualification.

• Troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and collaborate with construction, QA/QC, and operations teams to implement effective resolutions.

• Prepare and maintain documentation including commissioning reports, as-built records, and final turnover packages.

• Oversee the installation, functional testing, and verification of cleanroom-related systems such as HVAC, automation, and clean utilities.

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to align design and commissioning strategies with project objectives.

• Lead the system handover process, including performance validation and client sign-off.

• Provide technical input and clarifications to support construction and procurement activities.

• Ensure all designs and installations comply with ISO 14644 cleanroom classifications, cGMP requirements, and relevant industry standards.

Job Requirements

• Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in high-tech or regulated environments such as semiconductor or pharmaceutical facilities,

• Experience within a construction or engineering consultancy setting is a must.

• Strong technical expertise in cleanroom design standards, HVAC systems, commissioning practices, and contamination control.

• Proficiency in project review software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks is an added advantage.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
