Responsibilities:
Operate high-pressure boilers and auxiliary systems safely and efficiently, adhering to strict load dispatch requirements.
Monitor and log all critical parameters (pressure, temperature, flue gas) from the control system and during physical rounds.
Perform daily chemical testing and treatment of boiler feedwater, boiler water, and steam to control corrosion and scale.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on boiler plant equipment.
Ensure full compliance with all Singapore MOM Workplace Safety and Health Regulations for boilers.
Act as the designated "Competent Person" for boiler operations, ensuring safe working pressure and conditions.
Execute and supervise all boiler-related work under strict Permit-to-Work, Lockout-Tagout, and Confined Space Entry procedures.
Assist in preparing the boiler for its mandatory annual thorough inspection by an MOM-approved Authorized Examiner.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date statutory records, including the Boiler Log Book, as required by law.
Optimize combustion efficiency to meet performance targets and comply with National Environment Agency (NEA) emissions standards.
Requirements:
Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
Experience in the power plant industry is an advantage.
Willing to work in Tuas South.
