Senior/Assistant Engineers (Electronics Workshop) - Component Service Centre - #1120713

Major Responsibilities
• Assist in developing, maintaining and updating Work Instruction, Risk Assessment, Procedures, Competency Management, Repair Compliance Checklist and Technical Documents relevant to the section.
• Repair of Electronics Printed Circuit Board to component level using surface mount device and SMT soldering/de-soldering tools.
• Guide team in operating PCB diagnostic equipment such as multi-meter, LCR, oscilloscope and continue to learn new test equipment.
• Prepare fault data statistics, identify adverse fault trends and provide viable repair solutions.
• Ensure fast repair turnaround time for spares
• Manage spares, inventory and vendor repair works cost effectively
• Support failure recovery, emergency response and safety activities
• Ensure proper calibration of test equipment
• Ensure proper entry of maintenance job records and data accuracy for statistical analysis
The above activities are no means exhaustive and are subjected to amendment whenever is needed.
Specific Safety Responsibilities
• To comply with SBST’s Safety, Health and Security Policies To ensure technical staff are competent, trained and certified to perform the servicing works.
• To implement and conduct periodic safety inspection and safety audit for electronics workshop to ensure compliance with the specific standards.
• Responsible for ensuring safety in maintenance activities.
Job Specifications
Minimum Education / Qualifications
• Higher Nitec (with experience) or Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
• Preferably a minimum of 5 years of working experiences in electronics repair.
Knowledge/Skills
• Knowledge of computer hardware or/and software applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Up to date on the latest technologies
• Keen interest in research and experimentation

• Can work with own initiative and independent.
• Able to cope with stress.
• Strong planning, organisation, interpersonal and communication skills.
