The Role:
As an Outdoor and Adventure Learning Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the operations and programmes at the Adventure Learning Centre (ALC) and Xperiential Learning Centre (XLC). Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the daily execution of outdoor and experiential learning programmes, ensuring smooth coordination and participant engagement.
Maintaining and preparing adventure learning equipment, tools, and facilities to meet safety and operational standards.
Assisting lecturers and trainers with technical and logistical support during outdoor activities and events.
Upholding Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (QEHS) protocols across all activities and operations.
Managing administrative tasks such as documentation, procurement, and inventory tracking for equipment and centre operations.
Facilitating team-building and leadership development programmes as part of experiential learning initiatives.
Operating and overseeing challenge ropes courses, ensuring participant safety and programme effectiveness.
Conducting routine inspections and readiness checks for all outdoor learning setups.
Collaborating with internal teams to enhance programme delivery and participant experience.
Demonstrating flexibility in work schedules to support programme needs, including weekends and off-site activities.
What Are We Looking For?
We are seeking passionate individuals who are enthusiastic about outdoor and adventure learning. Ideal candidates should possess:
A Diploma in Outdoor and Adventure Learning or related disciplines; fresh graduates are welcome.
Alternatively, a Diploma in any field with at least one year of relevant work experience.
Valid certifications in outdoor activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, and first aid.
Hands-on experience in operating and managing challenge ropes courses is highly desirable.
Prior involvement in facilitating leadership and team-building programmes is a strong advantage.
Strong commitment to safety standards and operational excellence.
Ability to work collaboratively with trainers, lecturers, and support teams.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and outdoor settings.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse groups.
A proactive and adaptable mindset to thrive in dynamic learning environments.
