Responsibilities:
Handle export/import shipments
Prepare and maintain shipping documents accuracy, including bills of lading, airway bills, customs documentation and shipping invoices verification
Liaise with forwarder/carrier for freight rates, shipping schedules and bookings
Liaise with 3PL warehouse for picking and packing arrangement
Provide supports to the sales department e.g. provide monthly freight rates and container estimation
Apply Marine insurance coverage, Certificate of origin (COO, Form D, AANZ and etc) and/or SGS inspection
Handle replacement for damaged cargoes if necessary
Arrange surveyor for inspection on the damage cargoes and prepare insurance claim for the damaged cargoes
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies
Assist in the review of work processes and internal controls to improve workflow and cost efficiency
Assist in the customs compliance query includes updated information on local/ international law, regulations, practices, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.
Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management
SAP knowledge is an advantage
Knowledge of customs compliance
Above 3 years of relevant experience in Shipping industry is preferred
Good spoken and written communication in English and Mandarin (Required to communicate effectively with Chinese suppliers)
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
