Cost Accountant - #1119173

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, review, and maintenance of manufacturing cost standards and product cost structures.

• Manage the end-to-end standard costing process to ensure all items are priced accurately and in line with company policy.

• Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets, operating plans, and rolling forecasts.

• Coordinate with production teams on volume planning, stock control, and compliance with GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.

• Support new product launches by working with R&D to estimate and validate production costs.

• Oversee timely posting and reconciliation of production transactions to maintain accurate financial data.

• Investigate and explain variances between planned and actual manufacturing costs.

• Monitor stock reports to identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend action.

• Produce monthly management reports, performance dashboards, and analytical insights to aid decision-making.

• Partner with operations to identify efficiency gains and cost-saving opportunities across processes.

• Organise and conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks; resolve discrepancies between system records and actual counts.

• Handle month-end activities including journal entries for stock, accruals, goods-in-transit, and inventory adjustments.

• Perform cost revaluations and maintain accurate Bills of Material and item master data in the ERP system.

• Support internal and external audit requests and provide necessary documentation.

• Take on ad-hoc projects or assignments as needed to support the business.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

• At least eight years of hands-on costing experience within a manufacturing setting.

• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Collaborative, resilient, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.

• Strong ERP proficiency; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
