Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure all vessels comply with relevant maritime regulations, certifications, and standards (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, etc.)

• Coordinate and monitor vetting inspections, class audits, SIRE, Flag State Inspections, and other statutory surveys

• Approve and oversee crew assignments, conduct interviews, and manage onboarding processes

• Identify training needs and implement structured crew development programmes

• Support onboard mentoring, competency management, and safety initiatives

• Conduct safety inspections, manage incident investigations, and follow up on corrective actions

• Monitor navigational safety, pollution prevention, and cargo operations

• Provide support for voyage planning and cargo optimisation to maximise efficiency

• Oversee resource allocation to ensure optimal operational support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role

• Certificate of Competency (Master Mariner or Chief Engineer) recognised by MPA Singapore

• Strong knowledge of ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS, and other maritime regulations

• ISM/ISPS or ISO Lead Auditor certification is an advantage

• Experience with tanker operations will be highly preferred
