Roles & Responsibilities

As a Software Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering secure, resilient, and high-performing digital solutions that support public sector transformation. Beyond leading technical execution, you will mentor and inspire a team of engineers to uphold engineering excellence while building systems that serve the broader community.

This role is ideal for experienced technologists who are not only skilled in fullstack development and system design but also passionate about guiding others and driving meaningful outcomes. Working closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you will help bridge technology with purpose—ensuring every solution delivered is robust, scalable, and impactful.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers to deliver high-impact digital solutions.

  • Architect and design fullstack systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.

  • Develop and review robust APIs, ensuring they meet security and performance standards.

  • Champion secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Oversee CI/CD pipeline setup and ensure quality assurance integration within DevSecOps workflows.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, UI/UX designers, and infrastructure engineers.

  • Ensure alignment with cloud best practices (AWS or Azure) for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

  • Deliver systems that integrate with government authentication mechanisms (e.g., Singpass, Corppass) and adhere to public sector compliance standards.

  • Support project planning, estimation, and risk management.

  • (Bonus) Lead or contribute to systems that integrate with IoT platforms and devices.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of hands-on development experience, with a minimum of 2–3 years leading software teams or projects.

  • Strong proficiency in fullstack development (frontend and backend).

  • Proven expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

  • Solid knowledge of secure coding practices and experience in DevSecOps toolchains.

  • Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

  • Experience delivering systems for the government sector, especially those involving integration with government authentication services.

  • Familiar with agile delivery methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

  • Experience with IoT system integration and data processing.
