Building Facilities Technician - #1118441

Job Description:

Operations & Maintenance

·       Conduct daily inspections and resolve issues related to building operations and M&E systems

·       Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, BAS/EMS, security surveillance, and access systems

·       Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment to minimize downtime

·       Respond promptly to tenant service requests and emergencies

·       Optimize energy efficiency and occupant comfort through BAS & EMS optimization.

Administrative & Compliance

·       Maintain maintenance logs, equipment records, and inventory of spare parts

·       Ensure compliance with OSHA, MOM, SCDF, BCA, SFA, and NEA regulations.

·       Assist with budget planning, permits, and contractor management.

Safety & Security

·       Serve as a key responder for after-hours emergencies

·       Enforce company safety policies and participate in safety drills

·       Ensure life safety systems are fully operational and compliant

Sustainability & Projects

·       Identify energy-saving opportunities and operational improvements

·       Support facility upgrades, sustainability initiatives, and efficiency projects

Job Requirements:

·       Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent

·       Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial/factory building operations and maintenance

·       Strong, proven technical knowledge in two or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or controls

·       Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and operational manuals.

·       Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS)

·       Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service

·       Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team

·       Must be available for occasional overtime, weekend work, and a rotating on-call schedule to respond to emergencies
