Job Summary

Our Programme Assistants facilitate rehabilitation activities in our Centre, as well as support the activities led by our volunteers and other community partners, so that our clients can acquire the skills and support they need to be happy and successful in their chosen roles in life.

Roles and Responsibilities

1.      Look after the general well-being of our clients.

2.      Plan and conduct the programmes, activities and outings of our Clubhouse, ensuring that they meet the needs of our clients as they work toward recovery.

3.      Monitor and support the interventions planned by the multi-disciplinary team for our clients.

4.      Supervise our clients to ensure that our house rules are adhered to.

5.      Note the movement of our clients in / out of the Centre and account for their attendance daily, including those who may be absent.  

6.      Oversee the security of our Centre by ensuring doors / gates are locked at the appropriate timing and preventing trespassing by outsiders.

7.      Manage and de-escalate minor disputes and non-violent incidents between the clients.

8.      Keep the Centre facilities and its surrounding landscape well maintained and clean.

9.      Orientate clients, visitors, volunteers and interns to the Clubhouse.

10.    Manage inventory for our central supply.

11.    Document and maintain records such as activity attendance, progress reports, incidents reports, etc.  

12.    Support activities and events by the Centre and / or our volunteers and community partners.  

13.    Participate in new initiatives and service development projects. 

14.    Assist with any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Job Specification

  • Minimum a Certificate in Healthcare (Home Care) or relevant qualification.

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in the healthcare sector.

  • Experience in working with persons with mental health conditions is an advantage.

  • Good command of spoken and written English.

  • Patient and independent worker who is able to relate to persons with mental health conditions.

  • Responsible, takes initiatives and works well in a team.
