Position Summary: 

The Valuation Specialist is responsible for accurately assessing the value of various valuable goods purchased from customers. This is a full-time, office-based role dedicated to performing valuation duties. The Valuation Specialist will work closely with the Head of Valuation to ensure all valuations are conducted consistently and fairly, adhering to company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough and accurate valuations of valuable goods brought in by Outlets.

• Utilize industry knowledge and market trends to determine the current value of items.

• Maintain detailed records of all valuations performed.

• Stay updated on market trends, new products, and changes in valuation methodologies.

• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Assist in training and mentoring junior valuation staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in evaluating valuable goods, particularly in the pawnbroking or retail industry.

• Strong knowledge of  valuable items, either jewellery, diamonds, luxury watches, or collectibles.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Certification in gemology, or other relevant fields is a plus.
