Laboratory Analyst

Location: Near Gul Circle MRT
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Salary: Up to $3,500 basic + AWS + Variable Bonus

Job Responsibilities

• Manage daily lab operations including:

  • Logging incoming samples

  • Completing Chain of Custody (CoC) forms

  • Verifying sample details and test requirements

  • Coordinating with clients and internal lab sections

• Perform water, wastewater, and soil analysis according to SOPs and standard methods

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain lab instruments such as:

  • UV-Vis Spectrophotometer

  • pH meter

  • Turbidity meter

  • Distillation units

  • Photometer

• Prepare:

  • Worksheets, draft reports, and equipment maintenance logs

  • Inventory lists and purchase orders

  • Documentation aligned with ISO 17025 requirements

• Communicate with clients on sampling schedules, reporting timelines, and other matters

• Liaise with suppliers for procurement and servicing

• Maintain QA/QC procedures and uphold lab safety standards

• Collect environmental samples on-site (local/overseas), with occasional field testing

• Ensure test procedures meet SINGLAS (Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme) and ISO 17025 standards

• Address and correct any non-compliance in lab activities per ISO 17025

Job Requirements

• Diploma in a science-related field

• 1 year of experience in:

  • Environmental testing

  • Operating ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry)
