Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and serve Chinese-style dishes (mixed rice or zi char).
Handle food preparation including cutting, marinating, and portioning.
Operate wok and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain food freshness and ensure consistent taste and quality.
Monitor ingredient usage and assist with stock replenishment.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen.
Assist in opening/closing duties, kitchen setup, and cleaning.
Work closely with kitchen assistants and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in Chinese cuisine, preferably in mixed rice or zi char stalls.
Skilled in wok cooking, seasoning, and Chinese-style stir-fry techniques.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume orders.
Willing to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
Ability to communicate in simple English or Mandarin.
Non-halal environment – candidates should be comfortable working with pork and related ingredients.
