Job Summary:
This role is responsible for driving profitable growth through data-driven insights that inform strategic decisions within the Commercial Team. Key responsibilities include analyzing channel performance and profitability, evaluating effectiveness of marketing plans and simulating pricing and margin scenarios. Additionally, the role will champion data empowerment by enhancing visibility through the development and maintenance of dashboards for the Commercial Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Profitability Analysis & Simulation: Analyze both top-line and bottom-line performance across brands, channels and customer segments to provide insights for the Commercial Team. Identify shifts in volume and mix, optimize product assortment, and drive improvements in margin contribution. Evaluate the return on investment (ROI) of marketing campaigns and trade spend. Prepare and deliver comprehensive profitability reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Scenario Modelling & Sensitivity Analysis: Model contract renewals and pricing strategies to evaluate breakeven points, profitability, and potential outcomes under various scenarios.
Commercial Governance: Monitor and manage commercial spend and pricing strategies by segment and channels. Ensure adherence to Tender SOPs and validate sales commitments to maintain financial discipline.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Commercial and Finance teams to align financial planning with sales strategies and business objectives.
Project Management: Lead cross-functional taskforces on initiatives aimed at improving commercial processes, productivity, or strategic outcomes.
Reporting & Insights: Develop and maintain business reports and dashboarding tools to track key performance metrics, ensuring visibility for key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
· 2–3 years of experience in Commercial Excellence, Financial Profitability Analysis, Performance Metrics Analysis, or similar functions—preferably within the FMCG sector.
· Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and/or SAP.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven, and cross-functional environment.
· Experience in Series B/C startup environments is a plus, particularly in supporting growth initiatives or implementing commercial tools and framework
