AI Engineer (1-Year Contract)

Contract Period: 1 year
Salary Range: S$4,200 – S$7,000 / month
Bonus: 1‑month completion bonus

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technically strong AI Engineer to drive our AI platform efforts, bridge R&D and production, and ensure that promising models are delivered as robust, scalable services. The role spans infrastructure, pipelines, deployment, and enabling access to AI capabilities across business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the AI/ML infrastructure (development + production), ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability

• Design and maintain data ingestion / transformation pipelines to support large-scale model training and inference

• Work with data scientists to convert models into production-grade services (via MLOps best practices)

• Integrate AI modules with existing systems/flows via APIs / microservices

• Expose AI capabilities to stakeholders via APIs or lightweight UI tools

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to roll out models and track outcomes / performance

• Monitor production systems, handle downtime or failures, and iterate on improvement

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong in Python and comfortable working in Linux environments

• Solid software engineering and data engineering foundation

• Experience with cloud (especially Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Familiar with RESTful APIs, web frameworks or minimal front-end exposure

• Knowledge of MLOps tools or workflows (e.g. MLflow, FastAPI, model versioning, monitoring)

• Good communication (written/verbal) – ability to coordinate with multiple teams

• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving challenges

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience deploying real-world ML/AI systems

• Monitoring and observability tooling (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana)

• Experience with distributed computing / scaling inference (e.g. batching, autoscaling)

• Understanding of model serving frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow Serving, TorchServe)
