Position Summary:
Lumileds is seeking a highly-qualified Engineer to take responsibility for Equipment ownership, ensuring equipment indices like MTBF, MTTR, uptime are met. Work with process and industrial engineers and Manufacturing to address issues pertaining to hardware. Work with vendors on equipment retrofit, upgrades and CIP.
What You Will Do:
Process owner for PVD (Sputtering or evaporation) tool of Thermal Processing (Furnace or Rapid Thermal Process or Full Wafer Bonding) tool
Drive process improvement to improve wafer yields, increase tool throughput.
Work with Yield, Defect and Quality teams to lead investigations for Yield, Defect, Quality Excursions using 8D methodology
Lead projects to improve Yield, Defectivity and Quality qualify processes across similar tools in the same equipment fleet
Establish process controls, review and perform risk assessments via FMEA
Execute changes within Lumileds change management guidelines using DeQuMa
Qualify process after tool modification on PVD (Sputter or Evaporator) or Thermal processing (Furnace or RTP) production equipment to improve machine efficiency and reliability.
Work with Equipment Supplier to qualify process after tool retrofit
Drive cost reduction to weed out unwarranted expenses/wastages and improve process performance.
Work on projects to establish alternate supplier to reduce cost
Establish sufficient essential materials (melts /targets) and consumables stock levels to support process sustaining.
Lead and guide shift technicians on all hold lots disposition and OCAP. Provide effective process trainings to the technicians to build up their technical competencies.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Duties will vary according to the project progress and/or the specific goals of the module.
What You Will Bring (REQUIRED Qualifications):
Hands-on experience working on PVD (sputter/evaporation) or Thermal Annealing/Diffusion tools is required.
Candidate with strong vacuum and plasma technical knowledge or has similar working experience in equipment maintenance is welcome to apply.
