Requirements:

• Perform quality tests for incoming/ in-house blended/ outgoing chemicals

• Conduct outgoing QC check for all outgoing shipment (labeling, packaging, drum leakages etc)

• Perform routine chemical analysis for customer samples and conduct customer evaluation to resolve quality related issues

• Handle preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment and perform troubleshooting of equipment when needed

• Responsible for monitoring inventory (lab supplies, reagents, chemicals, apparatus)

• Ensure proper disposal of chemicals (acids/ alkali/ metal/ solvents)

• Comply to quality procedures according to ISO standards

• Assist in maintaining quality systems as well as implementation of quality procedures and internal audit activities

• Conduct follow-up audit on highlighted non-conformities of internal audit for its timely closure

• Prepares Quality Monitoring System Reports on a monthly basis (1st pass yield)

• Assist in the Productivity Improvement Program of the Production with the use of the SPC Control tools

• Generates and update FMEA for chemical lab and manufacturing when required

• Prepares Certificate of Analysis (COA) when QA Manager is not around

• Update Product Spec and Product Test  Procedure master list on monthly basis

• Prepares solutions or reagents following standard laboratory formulas and procedures

• Perform laboratory housekeeping daily.  Ensure laboratory equipment and glassware are clean after use

• Record all chemicals that have undergone quality tests

• Operates a variety of laboratory equipment including pH meters, balances, XRF, spectrophotometers, centrifuge etc.

• Able to interpret analysis results and follow up with appropriate actions (when needed)

• Manage QA retained samples

• Perform any delegated work assigned by supervisor and manager

Responsibilities:

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic chemical analysis methods

• Hands-on experience in titration and lab equipment (AA Spectrometer, UV-VIS, etc.)

• Knowledge of analytical instruments, troubleshooting, and quality control

• Familiar with lab safety, hazardous materials handling, and chemical storage practices

• Positive attitude, hardworking, and adaptable to fast-paced environment
