About The Role

To be successful as a kitchen assistant, you should exercise exceptional time management and ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner. Ultimately, an outstanding Kitchen Assistant should be able to comply with all food health and safety regulations.

Job Description:

• Clean and sanitize all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.

• Wash and appropriately store all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.

• Prepare of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.

• Sweep and mop the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.

• Organize, sort, store and distribute food ingredients.

• Ensure the station is clean and well organized.

Job Requirements:

• Basic food and hygiene certificate

• Proven experience assisting in kitchens.

• Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as a team.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Effective communication skills.
