Job Description Summary
We are looking for a reliable Maintenance System Engineer to support system operations and maintenance on a 24/7 standby basis. The role involves site coordination, client support, and ensuring smooth system functionality. Candidates should have technical experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to read technical drawings.
Key Job Accountabilities
End device (e.g. Readers) installation methodologies and Maintenance Process
Participate in maintenance and implementation of project works
Troubleshooting and replacement of faulty electronics parts
Manage maintenance sites and carry out PM (Central Equipment) maintenance tasks according to schedule
Attend to CM services when requested by clients, within response time and system turnaround time
Ensure system are functional ready and operation are smooth.
Assist client in daily operation when system is unavailable
Attend to client query and request
Provide with quotation for ad-hoc service request/ VO work not within maintenance contract
To carry out A&A work/ VO work for sites during maintenance cycle
Able to read construction drawings include Architectural layout, Combined services drawings, Penetration requirement drawings, Electrical and Security line drawings
Plan and design cable routing and equipment shop drawings as well as updating Installation Drawings for as-built production
Able to co-ordinate site and installation issues with Consultant, User & Contractors
Conduct Testing and Commissioning with Consultant, User and other Contractors
Perform software vulnerability patches/updates system and cyber security remedies, when necessary, with guidance from Senior Engineer
Regular update to client for maintenance status
Support Contract administration works (reports, ordering, billing milestone, O&M submission, Operation Manual submission, maintenance checklist etc.)
Manage sub-contractor work schedule and quality of work
Understanding maintenance and project cycle
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum ITE/Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Infocom, Computer Science
Preferably with more than 2 years’ experience in relevant system implementation
Technical Writing skills: Able to troubleshoot fault, analyse and resolve fault
Good knowledge in network and system maintenance and troubleshooting
Possess self-initiative and strong communication skill esp. customer intimacy skill
Basic Knowledge in Project Management Software such as Microsoft Project
Familiarize with Industrial Code Of Practice (CP Standard & WSH (Work At Height & Safety)
Familiarize with Site Installation Approach Methodology & Cost Budgeting knowledge
A Class 3 license and vehicle are preferred but not compulsory
