Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including accounting entries, adjusting entries, and account reconciliation.
• Prepare and reconcile complex accounts such as bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Generate financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, costing reports, and group consolidation.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify expense trends and provide performance insights and improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to communicate financial and costing matters clearly and constructively.
• Guide non-finance stakeholders on financial and costing issues, supporting cost control and profitability initiatives.
• Maintain accurate cost accounting records, monitor cost variances, and manage inventory valuation across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Compile departmental budgets into master budget templates, including depreciation and material usage forecasts.
• Prepare quarterly GST returns and tax schedules; liaise with tax agents and respond to queries.
• Support statutory, internal, and J-SOX audits by preparing audit schedules and deferred tax documentation.
• Perform ACRA XBRL filing post-annual audit.
• Maintain documentation for assigned entities and assist in documenting financial and costing processes.
• Support digitalization initiatives by collaborating with IT and vendors to integrate digital tools into finance workflows.
• Respond to urgent requests and support cross-functional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Knowledge of GST and corporate tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
