As part of the Certis IFM team, the Assistant Manager, Operations Support plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence and financial discipline. This role is responsible for managing subcontractor payments, delivering timely and accurate site-level Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting, and driving cost efficiency initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit to help ensure smooth operations and sustainable profitability across projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Subcontractor Payment Management

    • Calculate monthly payments and prepare Payment Certificates for subcontractors.

    • Ensure timely disbursement of payments and prepare corresponding accruals.

    • Maintain and update subcontractor agreement (SCA) records, ensuring compliance with terms.

    • Serve as the main point of contact for subcontractor payment-related queries.

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting

    • Prepare and analyse monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements for operational sites.

    • Collaborate with the Head of Operations and site managers to identify and drive profitability improvements.

    • Participate in monthly Project Profitability Meetings with the Business Unit Head.

  • Cost Control & Operational Support

    • Assist in implementing and monitoring cost control measures across projects.

    • Support the raising of credit notes as and when required.

    • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system implementation projects.

    • Provide insights to the management team on outstanding vendor payments and related matters.


Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial operations or subcontractor management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and M365.

  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to present financial data clearly.

  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

  • Customer-focused with a service-oriented mindset.

  • Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
