Senior System Engineer (Infrastructure Operations) - #1115972

We are seeking a skilled and driven Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our team, with a primary focus on on-premises infrastructure, and secondary exposure to cloud environments (Azure/AWS). You will play a vital role in the implementation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure within the Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) framework.

This role involves working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure, as well as supporting cloud migration efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, support, and maintain infrastructure solutions in both on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring compliance with government security standards.

• Implement and manage services including compute, container/serverless, storage, networking, and security.

• Monitor infrastructure for performance, cost efficiency, reliability, and resiliency.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CLI to provision, configure, and orchestrate resources.

• Align infrastructure operations with DevSecOps practices and Microservices architecture.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate infrastructure services with applications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize system downtime.

• Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and compliance with evolving regulations.

• Recommend improvements and stay current with industry trends, especially in GCC Azure/AWS environments.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in designing, deploying, and managing on-premises and cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS).

• Strong knowledge of Azure services, cloud architecture, and infrastructure best practices.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CLI, or similar technologies.

• Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) are highly desirable.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles, containerization, and microservices architecture is a plus.
