Coordinator, Community Engagement (Queenstown) - #1115915

A public healthcare institution is seeking a Local Coordinator to support the development and operations of a new physical centre in Queenstown. The successful candidate will play a key role in engaging residents and community partners to co-create, plan, and deliver ground-up activities, while ensuring smooth day-to-day management of the centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with residents and community stakeholders to co-create and organize activities and interest groups.

• Engage and support residents in initiating and self-running activities.

• Collaborate with local leaders and partners to deliver meaningful programs and services.

• Develop and implement feedback mechanisms to improve activities and strengthen community engagement.

• Encourage residents’ participation in suitable health, social, and volunteer programs within the centre and the wider community.

• Oversee the centre’s daily operations, including logistics, budgeting, and activity evaluation.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance and program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (e.g., Social Work, Counselling, Psychology) or related fields.

• 2–3 years’ relevant experience in social care, aged care, or community engagement.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage residents, volunteers, and partners effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new IT systems.
