Chemical Maintenance Technician (1 Year Contract) - Tai Seng - #1115509

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor feedstock preparation equipment (e.g., grinders, compressors, filters).

• Manage material grading and testing using tools like TGA and tensile testers.

• Conduct routine maintenance on plant equipment including pumps, valves, hoses, mixers, and tanks.

• Assist with chemical receiving, unloading, and storage in line with SOPs.

• Support wetlaid line operations and fibre grading, including batch tracking and documentation.

• Maintain accurate operational records and logbooks.

• Enforce safety protocols for chemical handling, waste management, and equipment cleaning.

• Operate support equipment such as wrapping machines and hoists for dispatch.

• Lead and mentor plant operators and lab technicians to uphold operational standards.

• Coordinate team activities, monitor production batches, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Nitec or Higher Nitec in Chemical Process Technology, or ‘O’ Level with WSQ Certification in Chemical Process Operations and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), or equivalent.

• Hands-on experience with chemical lab and process plant equipment (e.g., mixers, pumps, valves).

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Safety-focused, detail-oriented, and adaptable to evolving pilot-scale operations.
