Key Responsibilities

CI/CD Pipeline Management

  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated build, test, and deployment across multiple environments (Development, Staging, and Production)

  • Work within air-gapped environments, ensuring secure and reliable software delivery without external network dependencies

  • Manage release processes, including version tagging, and deployment approvals

  • Manage artifact registries to securely store and distribute build outputs across environments

  • Work with deployment orchestration tools to streamline the rollout of applications and services

Infrastructure Automation & Configuration Management

  • Create and maintain reusable blueprints/templates to automate and streamline system setup and configurations

  • Implement rollback and version control mechanisms for infrastructure blueprints

  • Configure and manage load balancers as part of the system provisioning process, ensuring consistent network routing and failover behavior across environments

Quality Assurance

  • Develop and execute automated tests for new/existing software products, device reliability and configurations standard

  • Work with developers to identify quality requirements, create comprehensive test plans, troubleshoot issues, improve test coverage and documentation

  • Execute scripts to perform hardware functional testing to verify every component performs its expected functions

  • Support end-to-end system testing by running through different workflows/environments/load testing to test the entire solutions reliability and functionality

  • Provide feedback to the development team on potential improvements in the software design to ensure better testability

  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues and replicating customer-reported defects in testing environments

  • Stay updated on the latest software testing tools, trends, and best practices

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience in a DevOps, DevSecOps roles, preferably in air-gapped or secure environments

  • Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD

  • Familiar with Kubernetes orchestration is highly advantageous

  • Experience automating infrastructure and managing artifact registries (e.g., Nexus, Harbor)

  • QA experience with both manual and automated testing, focused on device and software validation

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in CI/CD YAML pipeline management

  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation and orchestration

  • Familiar working in Linux environments

  • Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes

  • Familiar with container registry experience

  • Scripting ability in Bash for automation tasks

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and security

Preferred Certifications

  • Kubernetes certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS))

  • GitLab certififcations (e.g. GitLab Certified CI/CD Associate, GitLab Certified Security Specialist)

    • DevOps/Site Reliability certifications from the Linux Foundation (e.g. Certified GitOps Associate (CGOA)) are also acceptable but GitLab certifications are still preferred

  • HashiCorp Infrastructure Automation Certifications (e.g. Terraform Associate, Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional)

  • Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform Certifications

  • Cloud DevOps certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
