Automation Engineer

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to support the development, configuration, and maintenance of automation systems used in industrial operations. This role involves working with SCADA software, PLCs, and communication protocols to ensure smooth and reliable system performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure SCADA/HMI applications for monitoring and control.

• Install and maintain system components in redundant environments.

• Set up data acquisition, trending, alarms, reports, and historical logging.

• Integrate SCADA with field devices such as PLCs, RTUs, sensors, and drives.

• Perform PLC programming using common platforms and tools.

• Test, troubleshoot, and debug software and hardware issues.

• Maintain technical documentation such as I/O lists, tag databases, and wiring diagrams.

• Work with internal teams and contractors during project execution.

• Support system commissioning and provide on-site or remote technical assistance.

• Contribute to project planning and tender support as required.

• Ensure system security and data integrity.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering.

• At least 6 years of experience in industrial automation and SCADA systems.

• Able to work with various PLC brands (e.g. Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi).

• Familiar with industrial protocols

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in sectors such as water, energy, or manufacturing is an advantage.
