Job Title: Storeman
Department: Supply Chain
Reports To: Head of Supply Chain
Job Purpose:
The Storeman will be responsible for managing all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, issuing, and recording of inventory. He/She will also play a key role in developing and maintaining a proper warehouse system to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. The role also requires hands-on support in handling and carrying goods when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management
• Accurately key in inventory records into the system.
• Maintain up-to-date stock levels and ensure proper labelling and coding of items.
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory movement and report discrepancies to the Supply Chain Manager.
2. Warehouse Operations
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods according to SOP.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and issuance of materials/furniture to projects and teams.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, orderliness, and safety standards.
• Organize and optimize warehouse layout for easy accessibility and space efficiency.
• Provide manual support when needed, including carrying, moving, loading, and unloading goods.
3. System & Process Development
• Create and implement a structured warehouse management system (manual and digital).
• Develop processes for receiving, storing, issuing, and returning items.
• Support the Supply Chain team with inventory and logistics reports (monthly).
4. Coordination & Support
• Liaise with project, sales, and admin teams for inventory requirements.
• Coordinate deliveries and logistics with suppliers and transporters.
• Support in preparing and packing items for projects, exhibitions, or deliveries.
5. Compliance & Safety
• Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and safety standards.
• Report damages, losses, or safety hazards promptly.
• Maintain documentation for audits and compliance checks.
Requirements:
• Minimum O-Level / N-Level or equivalent; additional certification in logistics/warehouse management is a plus.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in warehouse/store management (furniture industry preferred).
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems and MS Office (Excel a must).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit to handle warehouse duties and willing to carry/move goods when required.
• Forklift license or ability to operate warehouse equipment is an advantage.
• Responsible, reliable, and able to work independently.
