Service Engineer (Electrical-Commissioning/Vessel/Hydraulic) - Up to $6500 - #1113943

• Position : Service Engineer- Electrical/Vessels/Commissioning 

• Location: Near Jurong East MRT

• Working hours: 5 days (Monday- Friday 9.00am-6.00pm)

• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $6500 + AWS + 14 days annual leave

• Duration: Permanent

• Industry: Marine and Offshore Engineering

Main Responsibilities

• Install and commission electrical systems in compliance with technical specs and safety standards.

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs or replacements to ensure system efficiency.

• Provide on-site and remote technical support, handle customer queries, and deliver user training.

• Recommend and implement upgrades to improve system performance and safety.

• Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and regulatory standards; conduct inspections and risk assessments.

• Maintain service records, prepare reports, track inventory, and ensure timely submission of verified documentation.

• Liaise with project teams, clients, suppliers, and shipyards to ensure smooth execution of work.

• Stay updated with industry trends, attend training, and contribute to service and process enhancements.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

• Certification in electrical systems or maintenance (e.g., NEC, NFPA) is a plus.

• Minimum 3-5 years as an Electrical Service Engineer or similar role.

• Proficient in electrical systems, wiring, motors, circuit boards, and diagnostics.

• Skilled in reading schematics and using diagnostic/testing tools.

• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and commissioning of integrated systems (mechanical, hydraulic, control, electrical).

• Able to lift heavy tools/components and work in confined spaces or at heights.

• Willing to travel and work flexible hours based on project needs.

• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese clients who can converse in Mandarin only.
