Position Objective
The Communications team proposes the creation of a short-term internship to improve Stamford’s parent communications platform, MyStamford. This role will focus on streamlining the platform’s structure, enhancing usability and content clarity. The intern will help make MyStamford more intuitive and engaging, which will improve our overall parent experience. This would also greatly lift the team’s workload, and leave behind clear documentation for sustainable long-term management of the platform.
Responsibilities
The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom they are responsible, or with whom they come into contact will be to adhered to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, they must report any concerns to the School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head or indeed to the Cognita Regional Safeguarding Manager so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third party services.
Content Audit: Review all existing MyStamford pages, using AI to summarise, organise and support copywriting & language.
Comms Architecture: Develop recommendations for a refreshed dashboard and site navigation, based on the platform capabilities.
Content Archiving: Remove or archive redundant content.
Design Improvements: Propose and apply UX and UI enhancements within Firefly’s limitations.
Position Requirements
Strong digital intuition and an interest in communication, UX Design or copywriting
Ability to spot inefficiencies and propose creative solutions, using AI tools where appropriate to streamline content and design
Demonstrates the Stamford Values – Integrity, Courage, Ingenuity and Compassion
Prioritise the experience of our Parents, able to think with a customer experience mindset
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree Holder
Contacts
Direct reporting to Manager, Communications
Working under the Head of Communications, as part of a larger creative and customer service team
Position will require contact with other departments
Working Conditions
Duties performed within a school environment
Will be required to work independently and as part of a collaborative team effort
Exposure and team connection with a creative communications team, working with videograph, design and social experts
Terms of Employment
Working Hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
