Job Responsibilities:
· Adept at quantity measurement of the following trades:
Structural works.
Piping works.
Electrical and instrumentation works.
Mechanical and equipment works.
Painting works.
·Initiate and lead discussion with the client on MTO/BOQ reconciliation.
·Monitoring changes on-site with production teams. It could be identified in the followings:
Design drawing changes.
Site instruction from Client.
Job Confirmation Sheet from client.
Identification of Changes (IOC) from Production Team.
Confirmation of Verbal Instruction (COVI) from Production Team.
·Compiling change proposal register.
·Preparation & submission of change proposal to Client for approval.
·Initiate, lead and reconcile with Client on change proposals submitted.
·Project Costs Control
Design drawing changes
Monitoring periodically on the increased or decreased in works scope.
To handle any Commercial Claims (i.e. Extension of Time, disputed claims, etc)
·Contracts Management
Ensure that executed works and costs are in line with the contract.
Adept at identifying variance in the contract and initiating change management.
Lead and manage any disputed items.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or relevant courses
Experience in Construction QS
Experience in Claims and Stakeholders management
Able to handle full scope of QS duties which include material take-off and variations
